Writing posts

AI Assist and credits

AI Assist writes starting points, not finished posts. It sits in the composer, costs one credit per request, and never publishes anything on its own.

What it can do

Open a post in the composer and expand AI Assist. Choose what you need:

  • Caption from a brief — a complete, ready-to-edit caption from a sentence or two about the post.
  • Hook lines — short opening sentences, at most 120 characters each, no hashtags.
  • Hashtags — a set that fits the network's rules.
  • Rewrite the caption — the caption you already wrote, in a different shape.
  • Shorten the caption — the same message inside a tighter limit.

Pick the network and a tone (neutral, friendly, professional or playful). Suggestions are capped to that network's real character limit and hashtag rules, so an Instagram caption comes back inside 2,200 characters with at most 30 hashtags, and a Bluesky one inside 300.

Using a suggestion

Up to five suggestions come back, three by default. Each has a Use this button that puts it in the caption field, where you edit it like anything else. Nothing is published automatically, and nothing is sent anywhere until you schedule the post yourself.

Credits per month

PlanAI Assist credits a month

Scale4,000

The counter next to the Suggest button shows how many are left this month. Credits belong to the brand, so everyone working on it draws from the same pool.

When the credits run out

The panel says You have used all AI Assist credits for this month and stops. Nothing else about the post is affected: writing, approving, scheduling and publishing all carry on as normal. Credits return on the first of the next month, or sooner if you move to a larger plan.

Asking for more than 30 suggestions in a minute is also refused with Too many AI Assist requests. Wait a minute and try again.

Who can use it

Owners and editors. Reviewers cannot, because they do not write posts. AI Assist is also available through the API and MCP server, on the same credits.

What is sent

Your brief, the caption you are working on and the target network are sent to our model provider to generate a suggestion. Post history, channel credentials and client comments are not. The full description is in the privacy policy.

Common questions

How much does one suggestion cost?
One credit per request, whatever you ask for and however many suggestions come back. Asking for three captions costs the same one credit as asking for one. If the model fails, the credit is returned automatically.
When do my credits reset?
On the first day of each calendar month, in the brand's time zone. Credits are pooled per brand and do not roll over.
Can AI Assist publish a post by itself?
No. Every suggestion arrives as editable text with a "Use this" button that fills the caption field. Nothing is scheduled or published without a person doing it.
