Scheduling and publishing
The calendar
The calendar is the home page of a brand. It shows every post, in every state, in the brand's own time zone.
Three views
- Month — the whole month at a glance. Tap a post to open it.
- Week — an hour grid for seven days. This is where drag-and-drop and Share week live.
- Day — one day, wide, for a busy schedule.
Use the arrows to move a period at a time and Today to come back. On a phone, an agenda list appears under the grid so you never have to scroll sideways.
Status cards
Above the calendar are counts for Drafts, In review, Approved, Scheduled, Published and Needs attention. Selecting a card filters the calendar to that status; selecting it again clears the filter. Needs attention turns red when a publish has failed.
Filters
Filter by platform, by a single channel, by author and by status. Filters combine, and they stay in the URL, so a filtered week is a link you can send to a teammate.
Channel health
The strip under the toolbar summarises your connections: 3 connected · 1 expiring soon · 2 need reconnect. Each avatar links to the channels page. If a channel is expiring or disconnected, the link reads Reconnect channels. Fix it before the next scheduled post rather than after, since a post whose channel has expired will fail.
The same strip shows how many free posting slots the week has, or a link to set them up if you have none.
Free slots
In week and day view, faint markers show times covered by a posting slot that nothing occupies yet. The next one is labelled. Selecting one opens the composer with that time already noted, so it is filled in when you schedule.
Moving a post
In week or day view, drag an approved or scheduled post to another hour. It keeps its minutes, so a 10:15 post dropped on the 14:00 row becomes 14:15. If the move is refused — for example because publishing has already started — the post springs back and the reason is shown. Month view is tap-only; on the post page, Move to another time does the same thing with a form.
Sharing a week
In week view, Share week creates one private link covering every reviewable post that week. See Approvals and private review links.
Common questions
- Why does a draft appear on today rather than on its publish date?
- A draft has no publish time yet, so it sits on the day it was created. Once it is scheduled, it moves to the time it will go out.
- Can I drag a post to a new time?
- Yes, in week and day view, if you are an owner or editor and the post is approved or scheduled. Month view and the phone agenda are tap-only; use Move to another time on the post page instead.
